Wet Electrostatic
Precipitator –
WESP

Industries and communities unite in the pursuit of safeguarding our environment and ensuring emissions meet stringent standards. P&P Wet Electrostatic Precipitators (WESPs) emerge as unparalleled solutions, efficiently controlling submicron particles, aerosols, acid mists, heavy metals, and more.

P&P Advantages

At P&P Industries AG, we craft tailor-made WESPs
for your application, guaranteeing minimal emissions.
Our advanced modular design reduces installation time,
while the vertical design ensures a compact footprint.
Utilizing polymers, stainless steel electrodes and a
high-speed automatic voltage control system,
our WESPs promise reliability, extended lifetime,
and energy efficiency, making your investment
remarkably cost-effective.

How it works

  • An electrostatic precipitator consists of two parallel electrodes, which are charged with a very high electric potential. The process gas is flowing in the gap between those electrodes.
  • The discharge electrode acts as a spray electrode: It creates ionized gas molecules and further charged droplets. The counterpart of the discharge electrode is the collecting electrode.
  • Since there is a strong electromagnetic field between discharge electrode and the collecting electrode, the charged droplets are moving towards the collecting electrode. The movement of the ionized gas and charged particles create an electric current.
  • The droplets are collected at the collecting electrode and form a liquid film. The collected liquid flows down the collecting electrode and precipitation is complete.
  • The clean process gas is leaving the gap between the electrodes.
  • No gas flow restrictions lead to minimal pressure drop.
